Dr Seah Pong Pin (Dr SPP) was a leading expert in dermatological research in London, a visiting consultant at the National Skin Centre and a Senior Consultant at the Changi General Hospital in Singapore. Through his extensive work and passion for utilising his scientific knowledge to protect and promote healthy skin, Dr Seah Pong Pin became renowned for his effective skin treatments and ability to lessen and even reverse the signs of aging in his patient’s skin.
Dr Seah Pong Pin was at the forefront of medical research and truly understood each bio-chemical mechanisms that contributes to skin aging on a cellular level. His knowledge on skin health, repair and delaying and even preventing aging was unparalleled. With aging, the epidermis becomes thinned, as the number of pigment containing cells decreases as well as collagen and elastin fibres losing their elasticity. This cause’s aged skin to look thinner, paler and translucent, skin also becomes prone to wrinkle, sag and tear losing its ability to snap back after stretching. One of a number of areas that Dr Seah Pong Pin advocated for was reducing the exposure to ultraviolet light, which is known to damage elastin fibres and increase the rate of cell turnover, speeding up the cell aging process.
The Dr SPP product series includes a range of products to both prevent and correct skin aging, which have been dermatologically tested to ensure they are suitable for all skin types and conditions. It is through the wealth of knowledge and research that Dr Seah Pong Pin collated over his 50 years in the medical field, that this range of Dr SPP protective and therapeutic formulas could be developed. The Dr SPP series is his legacy that we are proud to share with the world- for the first time outside of his private practice.
